Belmont Park is an amusement park that is in the Mission Bay part of San Diego. The park is right on the beach front and attracts millions of visitors each year. The park was opened in 1925 and some of the original rides from that time still exist today. The Giant Dipper is one of the originals and is a large wooden rollercoaster that is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The park has recently been purchased by Pacifica Enterprises and many renovations have taken place to bring the park back to its original glory.
